Budget: $750k - 3 servers and 10 switches, utilizing existing switches as much as possible.

Execution - 2 Network Admins, 3 network technicians, 5 Registered Nurses. Plan and design required 6 months of planning and testing. Install new servers and test EMR (Electronic Medical Records) recording to new servers matching old servers. Build second LAN within network closets.

Challenges: Critical patients required one on one nurse to patient ratio as switches were transferred over to new network. EMR needed to flow to new servers without the loss of information.

Outcome: Minor impact, older patient equipment that was not identified at project start needed tech support for immediate upgrade. Upgrade was completed within 24 hours. Overall successful Outcome.
